Solutions to common packaging machine malfunctions

1. Film guide trough malfunction:
The film cannot be engaged with the upper pillow packaging machine hot roller, or it separates from the hot roller, or the two ends are uneven.
Reason 1: The center of the film, guide trough, longitudinal sealing roller, and transverse sealing roller are not on the same straight line.
Reason 2: The film guide trough is too inclined.
Reason 3: The eccentric sprocket speed of the transverse sealing hot roller is abnormal.
Adjustment method 1: Turn the adjustment knob on the longitudinal sealing pillow packaging machine roller to the right to increase the pressure. The film thickness is stretched. Note that excessive stretching will prevent sealing.
Adjustment method 2: Reduce the pressure of the longitudinal heat sealing roller. If the pressure is too high, the film cannot be clamped in and may be squeezed out.
Adjustment method 3: The clamping amount of the longitudinal sealing roller should be more than usual, generally 10MM instead of 7MM.
Adjustment method 4: If the two ends are still uneven after adjusting the pillow packaging machine, bend the guide trough on the side where the film exceeds inward.
Adjustment method 5: If there is an error in the center line of the film guide trough, it is a manufacturing defect and should be replaced.
2. Cutter malfunction.
(1) Cannot cut the film:
Reason 1: The gap between the moving knife and the fixed knife is not adjusted properly.
Adjustment method: There are two short tightening bolts on the outside of the fixed knife, and two long tightening bolts on the outside of the fixed knife. When the blade of the moving knife is close to the fixed knife, the film is cut by the friction of the two knives. The gap between the two pillow packaging machine blades is best at 1/100MM. The two upper blade tips should slightly contact, keeping the blades parallel. Adjust while manually clamping and cutting the film, and disengage the cutter clutch during adjustment.
Reason 2: The cutter blade is damaged. For minor damage, use an oilstone to sharpen; for major damage, use a grinder to repair.
Reason 3: Poor cutter installation, poor cutter clutch engagement, or positioning key disengaged.
Solution: Carefully check each part and retighten.
3. Transverse sealing roller malfunction: Poor sealing
Reason: Poor heat regulation, insufficient or uneven spring pressure.
Adjustment method: Select the appropriate pressure and temperature according to the thickness and type of packaging material used. If the sealing temperature is too high, the seal will be white, and the packaging film at the seal will be easily peeled off. The pressure of each heat sealing roller is adjusted by the spring. The roller temperature is controlled by the temperature controller heating the heating rod. The transverse sealing roller has pressure adjustment knobs on the left and right sides. Each adjustment knob consists of a push button and a pull button. If only the push button is used, excessive pressure is applied to the hot roller, which easily causes poor sealing. Therefore, the push button and pull button should be used appropriately. The two adjustment knobs on the transverse sealing roller are used to adjust for uneven transverse force.
4. Turntable malfunction:
(1) Packed items enter the heat sealing area.
Reason 1: Inconsistent bagging time and heat sealing time.
Solution: The double gear is connected to the turntable gear. Push the double gear upward to change the meshing, so that the material does not fall during sealing. The ideal material feeding time is after the transverse sealing is completed and the particles are put into the bag. After adjusting appropriately, do not change it easily.
Reason 2: Packaging speed is too fast, material falling time is long, and material is clamped. Reduce packaging speed appropriately.
(2) Material feeding time has been adjusted, but the malfunction occurs again.
Reason: Poor turntable fixation, loose keys and fixing screws, or incorrect fixation position, or poor opening and closing of the opener inside the turntable.
Repair and adjustment: Secure the turntable in the correct position on the pillow packaging machine and retighten the keys and screws. Adjust the opening and closing mechanism of the opener to the correct position and secure it. In addition, when packing very small powders or mixtures with extremely different specific gravities, bagging takes a long time, causing powder to enter the sealing area. At this time, reduce the packaging speed slightly to match the properties of the packaged material.
5. Electrical malfunction
(1) Excessive heat sealing roller current or blown fuse
Reason: Short circuit inside the electric heater or short circuit in the heat sealing circuit.
(2) Heat sealing roller is not hot
Reason: 1. Broken heating wire; 2. Blown fuse; 3. Temperature control malfunction. At this time, setting different temperatures will not cause the red and green lights to blink.
(3) Temperature cannot be self-controlled, temperature is too high
Reason 1: Poor contact or damage of the thermocouple with the roller. Reason 2: Internal malfunction of the temperature controller.
(4) Photoelectric position is not accurate on the pillow packaging machine
Reason 1: The controller fuse is blown, or there is an internal malfunction.
Reason 2: The packaging paper is not installed correctly, causing the mark center not to pass through the center of the photoelectric head aperture.
Reason 3: There are stains on the photoelectric head.
Reason 4: The sensitivity knob is not adjusted properly.
6. Malfunction of the mechanism itself
(1) Part of the mechanism cannot start:
Reason 1: Broken motor or wiring: Connect the broken wire. If the motor is faulty, replace it.
Reason 2: Blown fuse: Replace the fuse with the same amperage.
Reason 3: Loose screws, keys, etc., of gears: Retighten loose screws and keys, checking from the motor in the order of transmission.
Reason 4. Foreign objects entering the gears and other rotating parts cause abnormal motor sounds. Failure to address this promptly can lead to motor burnout. Remove the foreign object.
Reason 5. Foreign objects entering the pillow packaging machine cutter: If the two blades are too tight, remove the foreign object. If the two blades are too tight, increase the gap appropriately.
(2) The horizontal sealing heating roller does not rotate
Reason: The bearing of the heating roller is not lubricated, causing burnout and seizure, and the gear fixing lock ring and key are disengaged. Lubricate the heating roller and retighten the gear lock ring and key.
